Plinia cauliflora is a small bushy tree, native to Brazil. It’s known for its red, white-pulped fruits which grow directly on the trunk. This variety begins flowering and fruiting around 3-4 years of age!! Can be grown from Zones 8B - 11B
Tip: Grow these in containers because they need good acidic soil, for optimal health and growth. They will have brown tipped leaves when chlorinated water is used but this condition will not hurt the plant. These plants are sometimes watered with chlorinated water so it probably will have some brown leaf tips.
